Want a Developer Talk? Hit the Button!

The Microsoft UK Developer Team consists of: -

Daniel Moth
Mike Ormond
Mike Taulty
Martin Parry

The four of us are "challenged" with travelling the length and breadth of the UK, talking, to any developers who will listen, about the dazzling (and often bewildering) array of new technologies that Microsoft ships for developers each year.

As a team, we appreciate that it's not always practical to take your whole development group out of the company for a day in order to attend one of the public MSDN sessions that we run.  Consequently, we'd like to make it easier by offering to visit you instead.

Below are the topics that we are actively discussing this year: -

  • Overview of Visual Studio 2008 and .NET Framework V3.5
  • What’s new in Visual Studio 2008 and .NET Fx 3.5 for the Web Developer
  • Building Dynamic Web Applications with Microsoft Silverlight
  • Microsoft’s Web Platform. IIS7 and ASP.NET 3.5
  • What’s New for Developers in SQL Server 2008
  • What’ New for Developers in Windows Server 2008
  • What’s New in Smart Client Development
  • Building Services: .NET FX 3.5, SOAP, REST, and Beyond
  • Developing on the Windows Live Platform
  • SharePoint for Developers

...and more topics will be added over time.

If you have a group of developers at your company or your user-group that you think would get a real benefit from one of our sessions then we would love to come and talk to you.  All we ask is that you can find us 20+ people, a suitable room with a projector and at least 2 free hours of their time so that we can make it worthwhile.  We also ask that you be as flexible as you can with dates, and understand that we might not be able to satisfy all requests as there's only 4 of us :-)

If you're interested then click on "Email" over to the left*, fill in the email template, and we'll get back to you ASAP.

* You'll need to read this post on my website, not via a feed aggregator, to see the email link.
