One of the new desktop apps that was released yesterday is the Windows Live Photo Gallery. It looks a lot like the Photo Gallery app in Windows Vista, but it has a few extra features. For one thing, it can publish photos directly to your Windows Live Spaces account, or to Flickr. The feature I like best though is the ability to stitch photos together to make a panoramic image.
Yesterday, using the poor 2 megapixel camera in my mobile phone, I took a few shots around the atrium in Microsoft's Building 2 (this is Microsoft UK, in Reading, England). I then asked Windows Live Photo Gallery to make a panoramic image out of those shots, and here's the result (click for a larger view)...
Apologies to any Microsoft staff who were relaxing with a coffee when they were supposed to be working :-)
