First, let me state for the record that I work for Microsoft in the UK. You'll notice that all the technologies I work with and mention in my blog are distinctly Microsoft-oriented. I don't know much else. Although I was a developer on various Unix and VMS platforms in my younger days, all my coding was in C, so I really don't know much about the modern development world outside of Microsoft's tools. I've never done any serious Java, for example.
In the course of my job I get to work with some of our bleeding-edge technology, so many of my blog posts are the results of my experiences, in the hope of short-cutting the discovery process for others. Blogs are a huge help to me, so if I can return the favour in some small way I'm happy to do so.
